Credit Exemptions

Credit Exemptions:

Credit Exemption means the transfer of credits awarded to a student during the admission process based on previous qualification approved by the University.

Where a student has undertaken formal or informal learning prior to enrolling at X university/institution, that study, up to a specified limit, may be used or ‘credited’ towards a program of study at  X university/institution. A credit transfer reduces the number of units required to complete your program.

An exemption may be granted where your prior formal or informal learning is recognized as a substitute for a course or courses listed in your program requirements. An exemption does not reduce the number of units required for completion of your program. Instead you can take a different course in place of the one that has been exempted.
